little trust left

so excited, relieved, vindicated

ready to believe – so ready to believe

that someone with skill in marketing

actually sees my novel Exhalation

as worthy to present to the world

but when the ‘discoverer’ of my book

is the one to greet me on-line

i should think first of scam

because offers that seem

too wonderful to believe

probably aren’t what they seem

send money?

sense says, no

longing says, why not?

maybe it’s real
